Top 5 Movies That Deserve A Sequel

There have been many movies over the years that have been underrated, not done well at the box office, or just generally not what people wanted. This easily makes it so films that deserve a sequel fall through the cracks and do not get anything else within that franchise.

Here are my 5 movies that deserved a sequel

5. Jumper

Jumper is an underrated movie that spanned from the movies to a television series, but that television series is not even spoken about, and not many people know about it. The film had laid a foundation that could have expanded into a trilogy with even a couple of spin-off movies. I think if done in today’s box office, it could have done so well.

4. The Eternals

I know, I know. Why is Eternals on this list? While this isn’t a top 10 Marvel movie, it did have some moments that actually “wowed” me. I loved the characters and their abilities. I loved the villain, and I loved seeing the Celestials. I do hope we see some of these characters again.

3. Solo

I really enjoyed Solo. I loved getting to see a very young Han Solo begin his adventures into being one of the best scoundrels in the galaxy. Solo is one of the Star Wars films that I’m excited to watch whenever I do a marathon of the movies.

2. Detective Pikachu

I loved Detective Pikachu. The live-action movie that focused on Pikachu and Mewtwo was a really great movie. It’s been six years since the movie was released and I do believe that this movie should have had a sequel long before now. Good knows is, there is a director attached to a sequel, so hopefully we hear more about this in the coming year or so.

1. Power Rangers (2017)

I will forever shout and rant and rave about the 2017 Power Rangers movie. I enjoyed the life out of that movie. It was a breath of fresh air within the Power Rangers franchise. It gave a massive spin on the lore and not only that, but the characters themselves as they each had their own issues, from Autism to being a carer for their parents. It generally does deserve a sequel, and the darker tone for the film fits perfectly, and a sequel starring an evil green ranger would be the greatest.
