Top 5 Trailers We Would Love To See At The Game Awards 2024

Edit – 13th December, 2024. We got none of this below lol.

The Game Awards of 2024 are almost upon us, so we wanted to throw out 5 trailers we’d love to see shown. We already know the upcoming Mafia: The Old Country will have a trailer, but what about other games? Some of these may be out there, but we’re hopeful.

1. Grand Theft Auto 6

It’s been a year since the first trailer. The game’s scheduled to be out in less than a year, at any point now Rockstar should be gearing up to drop their second trailer which has been eagerly awaited by fans all over the world. Grand Theft Auto is perhaps the most successful video game franchise of all time so it’s natural to think we could get a trailer tonight and also considering the timing.

2. Star Wars Jedi 3

This one is very unlikely given the difference between the first and second game dates. We know Jedi 3 is in development and has been for the majority of this year. There was roughly a 3 and a half year wait between the first games which means we may not be expecting to see the third game until the latter part of 2026. It still doesn’t stop us from hoping we get some sort of tease considering the success this franchise has brought.

3. The Wolverine

I think this one is a given. It’s been a long time since we last saw that teaser cinematic trailer, it’s been 3 years since that and we’ve had nothing except a bunch of leaks as well as people leaving that game to work at other places. We are long overdue for a trailer, never mind a gameplay trailer. When time passes and we have no new look at this game, my hype dies. I hope we get something soon.

4. Venom

Venom was introduced within Spider-Man 2 and fans were given the opportunity to even play as Venom for a little mission within the game. When the Insomniac Games leaks happened, Venom was one of the games on that leaked roster of upcoming games. I hope we get some motion for this game as the lack of DLC for Spider-Man 2 has hurt that game for me personally, so to get some mention, first look, or cinematic trailer for Venom would be great.

5. Iron Man

This one is another loose pick but we’ve heard very little since it was announced EA would be making an Iron Man game. This feels like it was announced a lifetime ago and I forgot it was happening until we were writing this article. I can’t help but hope that this game has been in development for quite some time now. Due to the monumental success of Marvel’s Rivals, it’s not too farfetched to think EA would want to capitalize on the fact Marvel’s doing well in the video game world as it currently stands.
