Today, I want to take a look at each Marvel Disney+ show and rank them from worst to best. Since 2021 we’ve had 7 major shows released onto the platform. I won’t be including I Am Groot or Werewolf by Night. It also won’t include Secret Invasion as that show has just come out. I am strictly keeping this ranking list to major releases. Understandably, you may disagree with my list and that’s okay.
8. She-Hulk: Attorney at Law
She-Hulk was an awful show. There are no proper redeeming qualities about this at all. I’d be happy to never watch this again. The CGI was awful, the story was abysmal, there was next to no action and it offered nothing in terms of entertainment. I’m a huge Marvel show but this truly does just belong in a bin. I’d rather watch Thor: Love and Thunder 50 times over than watch this.
7. Ms. Marvel
Moving on from She-Hulk, Ms. Marvel wasn’t any better. They have the perfect case in Kamala Khan with Iman Vellani but the overall story was poor. The fact they’ve made Ms. Marvel a mutant for no reason and never stuck to the source material isn’t great. I just feel like they could have and should have done so much better with the series. I’m hoping she’ll be written much better in The Marvels.
6. Moon Knight
I understand Moon Knight is a loved show by many but it just wasn’t for me. I’m not interested in Egyptian history so this didn’t intrigue me at all. I love Oscar Isaac and I thought he played the part brilliantly but the overall series felt confusing and just non-interesting to me. It’s a shame because I did really want to like it.
5. What If…?
The idea and concept for What If…? is incredible. I really wish Star Wars would follow the same path, nonetheless I really enjoyed the series. My only gripe was it was missing an episode which is understandable given this was all done during Covid. I am excited to see what they do with season 2, as the what if aspect always leaves me curious.
4. Hawkeye
This is where it gets difficult for me. These top 4 could go in any order for a lot of people. I loved Hawkeye, I really did. Hawkeye had a bit of everything which makes it even better, plus it was set around the Christmas holidays. I think Hailee Steinfeld portrayed Kate Bishop perfectly and it’s a shame we haven’t had anything with her since. This really does need a second season very soon.
3. WandaVision
The first Disney+ Marvel show, that adds something special as Disney+ was a platform I was genuinely excited for. WandaVision lived up to the hype. It was different, unique and had a great story all the way throughout. It tied in well with the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and it also played into the second Doctor Strange film. It had a mid-point in regards to that and I loved it. It’s a show I’ve gone back and watched a handful of times.
2. Loki
This was a tough one but Loki finishes second and for one reason – the finale. It’s a shame we set up everything to that and I remember writing in my season review that the finale felt like a mid-season finale. Besides that, every episode added something unique. The TVA alone had my curiosity pique in the very first episode. It’s just that mystery surrounding the organisation that adds something great.
1. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier
This show answered so many questions and I think that’s why I loved it so much. Not only that but it had fantastic action all the way through. We had US Agent who for me, was a great villain and his vicious turn completely threw me off guard. Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan had perfect chemistry on screen and the two characters truly bounced off each other. It’s a result of this show as to why I am so excited for the upcoming Captain America movie.
