A new featurette of the anticipated season of Watchmen was released recently, peaking my interest into the new show before it arrives this October.
The new show by Damon Lindelof features stars including Regina King and Jeremy Irons and is allegedly distanced from Snyder’s film version. Regardless, the featurette hints at the highlights of the show and of the themes and characters explored.

I am particularly interested in how much the show will go into the events of Alan Moore’s graphic novel. Though it doesn’t seem like anything is set in stone for the mysterious new take on the flawed heroes.
After becoming obsessed with the surprisingly dark yet super addictive The Boys on Amazon Prime, I am excited to embrace this subgenre of antiheroes, gore and dubious morals.
HBO plans to air the new series on 20th October, and it will likely then debut on Sky Atlantic.
