Warner Bros Under Fire After Johnny Depp’s Resignation

Johnny Depp and Amber Heard have been all over our Social media screens for quite some time now due to the ongoing domestic violence claims from both sides. While the court case is still ongoing, Depp recently lost a libel case against The Sun newspaper, after they released a story Labeling him as a wife-beater.

After losing his case against The Sun, Depp has been asked to resign by Warner Bros from his role as Grindelwald in Fantastic Beasts. Fans were shocked to hear this after Johnny released the following statement on Social Media.

Fans have taken to Twitter and Facebook voicing their concerns over the situation. Some stated Warner Bros were punishing the victim, some even suggested boycotting Warner Bros altogether, while others are calling for Amber Heard to be fired from her role as Mera in the Aquaman movie.

Warner Bros has not yet commented on anything regarding the recent situation, despite being under heavy fire by fans all over their social media platforms.

In an age where mental health and domestic abuse is at an all-time high, I don’t believe Depp deserved to lose his position in the upcoming Fantastic Beasts movie.

Despite a court case, I believe it’s time for WB to step up and issue a statement regarding this. Especially in a time where Ray Fishers claims are pretty much going unwarranted, a lot of fans are understandably annoyed and frustrated lately with WB.

We will gladly stand by any victim of any form of abuse. That also goes to Johnny Depp and Ray Fisher.
