Watchmen Season Finale ‘See How They Fly’ Review

“But you’re just a man, Mister Veidt. You have limitations.” Lady Trieu’s full ambitions are revealed and I was shaken. I loved how Trieu came into being and how Adrian had engineered his escape. She trapped him in gold? Adrian came out looking like he’d had an extreme Lush bath when Trieu defrosted him. Trieu’s character was continually dubious so I believe that it wasn’t a surprise to anyone

But the end is nigh? I am still confused but I am 95% that what is going to happen is bad. Lady Trieu wants to absorb the blue power of Doctor Manhattan but so does everyone else! I was confused as to how everyone got to where they are but the last episode the majority of problems were cleared up.

I do very much enjoy the ridiculous reasoning behind supreme racism and I was clinging to the hope that Angela was going to come along and save her blue boyfriend. And behead some white supremacists on the way.

Honestly, when the senator was talking about becoming God I was cheering him on becoming a crispy chicken. When he became a puddle I was half-delighted, half-disgusted. He was a white supremacist after all.

Ultimately the ending had me shaken. The return of Looking Glass was nice and it was great to see everything tied together. From the murder of Crawford to the beginning of Angela’s relationship with Manhattan.

Veidt’s return to Earth was symbolic for the beginning of the end and I really think this last episode was a testament to the fluidity of the series. Also, how dare you make me cry!

I hope for another season but I am not sure if one would be commissioned. Definitely worth the watch and it is perfect for a binge.

Hiya! My name is Perry Wyatt and I am from the dragon-infested land of Wales in the UK. I am a massive nerd and English graduate with a love for all things Marvel and DC along with movies, cartoons and anime. When I'm not holed up gaming or writing, I am at ComiCons in cosplay or being a Dungeon Master for my DND group. I look forward to nerding out with like-minded people.
