Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order was and still is a fantastic game, I recently began another playthrough of the game, each time I step into this world and playing as Cal I always become a bigger fan of the character, his mission, his goals, and his force abilities.
Cameron Monaghan is a fantastic actor, I become a fan of his for his portrayal of Jerome in Gotham, then became a bigger fan in Shameless and his portrayal of Cal was incredible, it felt real, it felt natural, it felt like he belonged in the world of Star Wars.
Cameron absolutely killed it in the game, could he do it again in live-action if Cal was brought into any future live-action Star Wars project? My answer would be yes. Fair enough it would be in a different environment and not in a mocap suit or building.
I recently came across an Instagram account which created a possible “future look” of Cal with hints of Jedi Fallen Order in there and this single image got me thinking about this question.
Now I’m sure Cameron would be more than willing to portray Cal in a live-action show, and I think that Cal would fit right into a show like Andor, Obi-Wan, The Mandalorian season 3, and even the upcoming Boba Fett series. I think seeing Boba get into an entanglement with Cal would be perfect, especially with the history of Cal with the Clones.
Even if it’s not live-action, seeing Cal appear in a show like the Bad Batch would be perfect, although it would be similar to Caleb Dume. I personally think an animated show or even a live-action show could be perfect to expand the world of Cal, his mission, and what we know about him.
