Over the course of many years, we’ve had a somewhat decent franchise of movies focused purely on the Yautja race and a couple of movies focused on the long rivalry between the Predator and Aliens, those movies are incredible, especially Alien vs Predators 2.
Over the course of many movies, we’ve always seen Predators arrive early, except for the 2010 Predators movie, which was set on a distant planet that was primarily for hunting and game preserve, in that movie we had a slight tease of a rivalry between the Yautja clans.
What Would I Like to See in A Future Predator Movie?
I have a couple of wishes for what I would like to see involving the Predators in future live-action movies, I think the idea’s that I have are more than needed, especially in live-action because it would expand the franchise even more than it already is.
The first of my ideas are, another hunt focused movie, this time with more species than just the human race, the 2010 Predators movie was different compared to the previous Predator movies because, in this live-action movie, we got to see Predators capture humans, drop them into a different world and hunt them down.
While we only got a trio of Predators which did the hunt, we got introduced to how badly “hunting” means to the Predators and how they learn their target and potentially come to respect anyone or anything which outsmarts them in the hunt, while the ones we got to see in the movie were just truly set on hunting and killing the targets they dropped onto the world.
My Next idea would be to finally see the Yautja helping the humans. Yes, you read that correct, the Predators helping the humans is a thing, many times in the comics or graphic novels, we’ve come to learn that there has been more than a handful of Predators which help the humans, whether that be a bigger threat than both of them or against another Predator as seen in Predators (2010).
in the Predator 2018 movie, before the movie was ruined and the script fully rewrote and changed, originally they had filmed most of the film which was originally written, in that script we were going to be seeing 2 Yautja which would have came to earth and were kept in cages until the nighttime when they would be let out to “walkabout” which means to hunt.
We did, however, get a tease of a Predator helping the humans in that movie when the Predator who was captured in the movie, arrived on Earth with a weapon which would fit onto a human, similar to an Iron Man suit, however, this Predator would later be killed by the “Upgrade Predator”.
My last idea would be a somewhat “civil war” on the Yautja homeworld, Yautja Prime. We know that the Yautja race is basically set in clans which many clans being deadlier than the other, there are many clans on Yautja Prime, so seeing a somewhat civil war between the clans would be amazing, to see them keep the honor codes that Predators carry.
While I would love to see this happen, I know for a fact that it won’t happen because there wouldn’t be a human main character in the movie, it would just be Predators and when on Yautja Prime, many Predators won’t or can’t talk in human form and from what we’ve seen in subtitles, we won’t be able to understand them as well.
Either way, I hope we get something involving Predators in the future, we need a new film focused mainly on them.
