The long-awaited trailer for the second season of What If…? is finally here.
What’s even better than the trailer itself is the announcement at the end of the video. Disney has confirmed the show will be released on December 22nd, 2023.
They’ve also confirmed that the season will be released episodically as the previous season did but with a caveat. We will be getting an episode every day for 9 days which is brilliant news.
I will admit though, that the trailer looks all over the place without any real structure. I was hoping for an episode list the same way we did with the first season. This just allows us as viewers to see exactly what stories they will be doing.
Further onto that, I hope the voice acting proves to be a success again. It feels off when they don’t use the normal actors for their respective characters, especially Happy at the end of the trailer felt way off. I understand the financial implications but I hope it’s better when the episodes air.
Nonetheless, though, I’ve been excited for this ever since the first season ended. It’s been over 2 years now and I can’t wait for it. A nice Christmas gift from Disney and it makes it even better that shortly after this season ends, we get Echo off the back of it.
