What I Liked
1. The episode begins with heroes in the year 1602. A rift opens up in the sky, and when it tries to take Loki, Captain Carter saves him but it ends up taking Queen Hela instead, Carter tries to save her but fails to do so. King Thor deems Carter cursed.
2. Carter speaks to The Watcher, shocked to hear that Carter can indeed hear him speak. They speak about the world that Carter is in now, it’s 1602 and the 20th century mashed together. The Watcher offers to return Carter to her world but she refuses, she tells the Watcher that this world won’t die on her watch.
3. In this world, Steve Rogers, Bucky, and Ant-Man are all thieves. In this world, Steve goes by the name of “Rogers Hood”. While he and Carter speak, they get attacked by Happy Hogan and tiny Yellowjackets. I actually really like this fight scene.
4. We get a Hulk vs Happy Hogan showdown, this is a version of Happy who has gamma powers that can grow into a Hulk-type creature. While Carter and Thor duel with swords. Stark finally gets the stone to use in his machine.
5. The Steve that is Rogers Hood is the forerunner whom they were searching for. This Steve then begins to remember. He was in a battle against Thanos, and he went to punch him but hit one of the stones instead.
What I Disliked
Nothing to report.
Favorite Moment
My favorite moment would be the heist. While Thor is being officially crowned, Hulk busts in and gives the signal for the heist to begin. Tony uses his machine to find the person they are looking for while the rest fight and try to get the scepter from Thor.
Standout Character
I’ll give this to Captain Carter. She was just fantastic throughout this episode.
Verdict
Overall, A really fantastic and unique episode. Two time periods mashed together and somehow they absolutely worked a treat. They did so well on picking the right character for each time period persona too.
