Let's TalkStar Wars

Why I Have High Hopes for Star Wars: The High Republic

Star Wars has been on a roll lately with movies, series, games, and comics, they’ve all had their great moments and some have had their issues, however one Star Wars section has always thrived in the comics.

Star Wars comics have always been fun to read, especially the 2017 Vader comic series. That series blew me away, especially for myself because it was the first Star Wars comics I got to read first-hand.

skip ahead a few years and we’ve had insane issues of comics from the Star Wars Universe, and Don’t get me wrong I’ve loved every bit of it but even I need a change of scenery once in a while.

This is where Star Wars: The High Republic comes into play. Set about 200 years before the Skywalker/Clone/Empire saga, The Republic is thriving and the Jedi Order is at its zenith, with individual Force wielders and their students exploring the galactic frontier and keeping the peace.

The High Republic starts off with Light of the Jedi, A Test of Courage, and The Great Jedi Rescue. 3 all-new different books that offer new stories, adventures, and characters.

Marvel will also be releasing a comic series set in The High Republic, I’ll do a review of each issue going forward. I’ve wanted to do comic reviews for a while and this seems like a good point to jump in.

Not only does The High Republic offer new Jedi to learn about but we also get to see a “young” Yoda as well as more new villains and threats to the galaxy.

If possible I’ll also review the graphic novel books which will be released as well.

I can not wait for this series and to experience a whole new world of Star Wars for myself at the very start. I do have high hopes for this series and I do believe if done correctly, we’ll see many live-action projects release for this series in the future.
