What If Season 3 debuted over the Christmas period and many fans were excited to see what the creators would do with this final season of the show, would they go all out and give us crazy stories?
Well, imagine everyone’s shock when they released some mediocre episodes such as the Howard the Duck and Darcy baby episode? While the episode was good in seeing some old villains return to the Marvel world, this episode could have been drastically different if they had taken another route with the story choices for this season.
I’m not saying every episode of season 3 was a disappointment but most of them were. It wasn’t until the final few episodes that the season truly picked up in terms of being good and having good action, which is a world away from the previous seasons.
Captain Carter is a fantastic character but ultimately we did not need her to return for a third season. While the show did enough for Captain Carter, that spot should have been for someone new. As this was in the multiverse, there are so many options to choose from yet they return to a previous character?
Another thing that disappointed me was simply Storm. Not because of anything she did, it was more so that they made a big deal of Storm being in this season yet she was only in the last 3rd of the season? You don’t take an iconic character such as Storm, mix her with Thor, and only have her in a few episodes.
The main thing that disappointed me was the character that was shown at the end. They decided to show characters such as a Weapon X version of Thanos, A Silver Surfer Jubilee, and more in what? The end credits? An absolute joke.
Ultimately, the third season was not as great as the first. I won’t be in a rush to rewatch it again.
