Deadpool & Wolverine will most likely be the biggest movie of this year. With the return of Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, the movie has shaped up to be a masterpiece and what a lot of people are saying “will be the savior of the MCU”.
What are a few things I’m excited to see in this movie?
Firstly, I’ve kept up with behind-the-scenes photos and leaks in general. One of the photos I took an interest in was a possible Deadpool variant. With Deadpool & Wolverine dealing with the TVA and merging with the MCU, it’s possible we get variants within this movie.
There was a set photo with Deadpool and an unmasked Deadpool with him, this one was sporting a samurai look. So could this be a possible variant? Another rumor was that Henry Cavill has been cast and will be in this movie as a Wolverine variant so it’s possible we get to meet other variants too.
Secondly, Cassandra Nova and all of the villains from the past movies are within the void. I initially only thought Toad and Sabretooth were returning from set photos but when the first trailer released with got the reveal that not only were Sabretooth and Toad returning from the X-Men movies, but so was Pyro.
With this latest trailer, we got the reveal that other X-Men characters such as Callisto, Azazel, and more were all returning within the void. Cassandra Nova is Professor X’s twin whom Professor X defeated within the womb so I’m curious as to what her motives will be.
Lastly, I am very interested in seeing the backstory for this version of Wolverine. We know for a fact that this isn’t “our” Logan from the previous X-Men movies as his world survived and we know he didn’t have the suit either.
We saw in the latest trailer that this Wolverine let his world down which caused it to die and Deadpool even hinted at a third-act flashback scene. So I’m curious as to what actually happened with this version of Wolverine and how his X-Men/World died.
Honestly, this could be the movie of the year and that is a big possibility. I can not wait to see the madness that this movie will deliver. I feel like Ryan and Hugh have created something incredible and it looks out of this world.
