A game that feels like has been announced since the Stone Age, literally. We’ve never had an official release date for the videogame, and very recently it was delayed from a 2021 release date, to, well, we don’t even know right now.
It does absolutely suck, but to be honest, I’d rather the game be delayed so the developers can ensure the game will be perfect upon release. After all, what developer wants a Cyberpunk 2077 release? It does prove half-assing a release gets you nowhere. So, I am happy to wait.
But if I die before this game comes out I’m going to rage quit.
In all honestly, LEGO Star Wars have been some of the most fun games I have ever played. It makes a change from being stressed on Call of Duty or FIFA, that’s for sure. The games are literally made for that reason, to be fun.
The first LEGO Star Wars game I played was The Complete Saga so many years ago, got 1,000 Gamerscore on the Clone Wars, and had some fun on the Force Awakens game, despite that one being the weakest in the catalogue, it was still fun.
It’s the entire premise of playing through the story, seeing everything you can possibly do but you can’t, because you’re restricted, then completing the game and having the ability to do those things with access to all different types of characters, it’s great.
We’re all seeing how much the developers are trying, and that’s what makes me incredibly excited for this game. It’s not often a developer cares this much. Not to mention it’s also following the ENTIRE Skywalker saga, so we’re going to play from the very beginning, all the way through. The game is going to be huge, and I’m happy with that.
The one thing I am hoping for though is online co-op. We’ve moved to a different age where couch co-op is not a solid option anymore because most of us aren’t in the same house anymore. PS Share is an option but it’s not quite the same. I really hope this is a feature the developers are working on bringing in.
Adding to the fun elements of the game is also the humour. The games are hilarious, and it’s on the level of being pure stupid that makes it so funny, especially during cutscenes. They deliberately sway away from the seriousness of the franchise, just to make people laugh. I respect that, and I love it.

I love the fact they have brought in voice actors. It’s something I hated about the Force Awakens game, the fact they took dialogue directly from the movies, you couldn’t immerse properly in the experience when you know what’s going to be said, by who, and when. So this is something that does impress me so much more with this.
You can also see in the trailer, we’re going to pod race again. I actually enjoyed this element during the Complete Saga, so I’m glad to see all aspects of vehicle gameplay return. From pod racing to X-Wings, Millenium Falcon and more.
It’s going to be a great game, and as already mentioned – if the developers need more time to perfect this, then so be it. I will be happy to wait because I know for a fact this is going to be an incredible experience. Well, maybe not for a FACT but I have a really good feeling.
