Why I’m Personally Excited For DC Comics “Black Adam” Movie

We are only a few days away from the worldwide release of DC Comics and Warner Bros.’s latest film “Black Adam” starring Dwayne The Rock Johnson as the iconic character.

I’ve been waiting for this film for years, but no one has waited longer than the Rock himself who has fought for this film for around 15 years, that is how much he loved the character and wanted to tell his story.

I’m going to explain why I’m personally excited about the release of the film.

Firstly, it’s because of Dwayne The Rock Johnson. He’s simply become one of the best actors in Hollywood as of late, he’s always bringing fantastic action, great stories, and hilarious moments to the big screen. Put him and Kevin Hart in a movie together and it’s instantly hilarious. The chemistry those two have is great and I have no doubt that The Rock will bring fantastic action and a great story to Black Adam.

The movie has released many clips, a handful of trailers, and posters for the promotion of the film. In each clip and trailer, the action has been intense, brutal, and just downright incredible. I believe the fight scenes between Black Adam and Hawkman will be some of the best in the DC universe to date.

You might read this article and think “ahh generic reasons why he believes the movie will be great and why he’s excited”, you are right, it is basic but I’m not wrong. Next, I’ll explain the main reason I am excited about this movie for.

It feels like a fresh start.

What I mean by this is the direction that The Rock wants to take this character and story within the DC extended universe is on another level. I love Zack Snyder, but his fans have become like a cult always putting Zack Snyder into the conversation even if it isn’t about a comic movie.

This movie feels clear of Zack and his “Snyder Cut”. It doesn’t have that “we don’t want to do this in the movie, or have this character”. It feels like The Rock and the Black Adam director has been given the steering wheel and just been told to “create the best film possible” and I’m all for it.

Black Adam is also connecting to the TV universe too with connections to Peacemaker.

I’m just excited to see the movie and to see what direction The Rock takes Black Adam. I have full faith in the director, and the cast, and more importantly, I have full faith in what the DC universe will become with The Rock involved.
