Honestly, X-Men games are underrated in my opinion. Over the course of the years when X-Men games would be released, I have enjoyed them. I still remember playing the original X-Men movie game on the PlayStation 2 and I still remember beating the Wolverine Origins game on the Xbox 360.
Should we be getting some X-Men games remastered? As we know, many games have been remastered and re-released on modern-day consoles but should Marvel be capitalizing on the X-Men hype? With the X-Men coming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the next few years and the buzz with X-Men games on YouTube lately, should Marvel be pushing out remasters?
Yes, they should and this is my list of games that should be remastered.
4. X-Men Legends
X-Men Legends was an action role-playing game that was developed by Raven Software, recently both Legends games have been making the rounds on YouTube as people have begun to replay them and speak about how highly loved the games were. Not only were they great games but the delivered an amazing story.
3. X-Men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse
Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse was an action role-playing game that was primarily developed by Raven Software, and the game was intended to have a bigger sense of scale than the previous game. The story featured the villains known as the Brotherhood of Mutants, who would team up with the X-Men to defeat a greater threat. This game had online multiplayer added to the game. Which was received well by gaming critics.
2. X-Men: The Official Game
X-Men: The Official Game was set between the second and third films and answers questions for certain characters such as Nightcrawler. While X-Men: The Official Game is an old game focused on the movies, it would still be a nice game to be remastered, especially for the general story of the game.
1. X-Men: Origins: Wolverine
This is a game that I have noticed a lot of people talking about in recent months on YouTube. They love it. They love the story, and the setting, and they love what the game did with Logan. How can you see his metal bones when you have taken damage and your clothing doesn’t regenerate when your healing factor kicks in.
Honestly, these are some games that I would love to see remastered, especially on new-gen consoles. I can not wait for more X-Men games to come in the future. As we know already we have a Wolverine game that has already been shown and announced. Also with the Wolverine game you have the leaks and from what I’ve seen on social media, looks great thus far.
We also have an X-Men game coming in 2030 from the leaks from Insomniac Games, unfortunately, the roadmap got leaked and X-Men was one of the many titles leaked online.
