Over the past few days, I’ve seen some unnecessary hate directed at Zachary Levi and comments he made while on a live stream about John Wick 4, Shazam, and critics/box office numbers.
While his comments were not hateful toward John Wick, he had some good points. Of course, since it’s the new craze to direct hate towards Zachary Levi on the internet at the minute, people have taken these comments and run with them as false statements, including releasing articles.
Zachary Levi was apparently heard saying John Wick 4 is a bad movie and Shazam is far superior, he had articles made, and people ran with it on Twitter, it’s just dumb.
In reality, he was speaking about the critics of the Shazam movie, how they underplayed the reviews, and that he believes that Shazam is a much better film than they gave on Rotten Tomatoes, he even asked people to go on there and leave reviews if they liked it.
Another comment he made was simply telling people that John Wick is not a family movie when Shazam is, and he’s correct. I’ve recently watched both films and can safely say that John Wick is not a family-friendly movie, it’s anything but that.
These comments have been clipped, edited, and shared just to hate Zachary Levi and damage the movie. I just don’t get why? In the past year, the only negative thing Zachary did was tweet about the vaccines in America.
People are also hating on him for going directly after Dwayne The Rock Johnson and how he handled Black Adam and the characters in that movie, as well as not allowing Shazam to be a part of it. I’m fully on Zach’s side here.
Dwayne did everything he could to stop Zachary from progressing with Shazam and Black Adam meeting even though they are enemies and linked together, Dwayne stopped that. He even went as far as to block the Justice Society from being in the post-credit scene in Shazam.
People hated Dwayne and Black Adam, now they are on his side? No, it does not work like that. People hated Black Adam because it was Snyder, but now they love it to get back at Zachary. Stupid.
The hate towards Shazam has been incredibly toxic to the point the director has literally stepped away from superhero movies to go focus on horror movies.
